What would happen if Michigan kept Daylight Savings Time all year?

Love it or hate it, but we will fall back an hour this weekend.  On Sunday, we will gain that coveted extra hour of sleep that so many cherish.  While some of us love it, some of us hate the early evenings where it's dark super early! Have you ever wondered what it would be like if we got rid of Daylight Saving Time altogether?

First, it would be great in the summer.  Late sunsets, early sunrises.  At peak summer, the sun would rise around 5:55am and the setting sun would be around 9:15pm.  Great for us early morning golfers!

Winter, however - would be sunrises at or after 9am!  Can you imagine kids standing at the bus stop in the dark?  How about the morning commute where the sun isn't up to warm and melt the roads?  Throughout winter, the sun wouldn't rise until after 8am in November through February.  In January, the sunrise would be around 9:01am and sunset at 6:10pm.

I personally love the lighter later part, but the adjustment from time certainly does switch up your body's clock for eating and sleeping.  What are your thoughts?
